More Republican cheating.
In an interview with a Portland TV station, Mike Johnson, a paid canvasser, said that he was instructed to only accept Republican registration forms. He told the TV reporter that he might destroy forms turned in by Democrats. In other words, the Republicans have people out there who are working to make people think they are registered when they're actually not. This and other misleading practices are now being investigated. The company responsible, Sproul & Associates (owned by Republican activist Nathan Sproul, a former state GOP chairman), is under suspicion of having used misleading practices in Nevada, as well.

In other news, apparently my birthday is National Feral Cat Day. I'm sure my adopted former ferals would be amused by this, if it were possible to get the concept into their little walnut-sized brains.

It's amazing really. They are so egocentric they don't even care about the system, just twisting it regardless of the consequences to all to all of us. This is not the only example of this kind of crap. The pentagon ensuring that military personnel can register to vote over the Internet (tend to vote Republican), while disabling the similar functions for civilians overseas (tend to vote Democrat) because they just happened to realize that the Web site was unsecure. There are other examples. Underhanded, filthy, disgusting behavior.

And of course, whenever the media reports on it, they bend over backwards to find some minor case of a Democrat (one not even associated with the actual party organization, in most cases) doing something (not nearly as bad) so they can keep their official neutral storyline, that everybody's equally bad, even when that's patently false.

Yep. It's such a relief having at least one columnist who actually bothers to cite the facts.

When do we get our UN observers?

When the United States government requests them. They can not act as observers of an election without being invited by the host government.

My goodness, that's right -- your birthday is coming up!

And of course even the most brilliant cats don't understand the concept of "National Feral Cat Day." For them, *every* day is National I'm-the-Cat-so-feed-and-pet-me-o-lower-life-form Day.
