Ahhhnuld: Action Hero... of Liberal Californians?!

In the weirdest recall development I've seen thus far, Arnold Schwarzenegger has found a way to make me think about voting for him.

In a WSJ front-pager this morning, a reporter discusses how Warren Buffet -- whom Arnie has tapped as his economic advisor -- has said that his first piece of advice will be to restructure property taxes in CA, and possibly completely throw out Prop 13. Prop 13 was the beginning of the anti-tax crusade / supply-side economics, and is considered, by most sane economists, to be responsible for the huge decline of CA's formerly-finest-in-the-nation public schools (because school funding was, at the time, tied directly to property taxes, and they didn't start shifting in general funds until things were already dire).

If Arnold were to endorse the idea of killing Prop 13, I'd have to seriously consider voting for him. It's something that, frankly, only a Republican could manage, and it'd be a huge win for sound economic policy.
