I'm in the news...
The Palo Alto Weekly, to be precise.

I would've spoken with the author by phone, but I was in class all day, so I composed an email over lunch hour...

Your analysis seems about right to me.

A few of my comments that she didn't put in: I think Obama is going to benefit from the independents, who cannot vote on the GOP side, and will thus ALL be driven to the Dem side; and I think Obama has the potential to create a re-alignment, drawing in "Obama Republicans" (which I think was the significance of his comments about Reagan, and about Clinton's failure to do that -- he drew independents, but not real cross-party voters).

I plan to vote Obama myself.

I'm fencing. I'll take the Clintons' back on the premise of their actually knowing the inner workings, and our problems are too big for newbie. If they futz the campaign somehow, something comes out, I mean, or she stops being the front runner (What I don't want, is to let a Republican back in.) then Obama is the back up. I'm really curious to see who the Vice Presidential choices will be.
