Welcome to the Democratic People's Republic of 'Murika

Those who cast the votes, decide nothing.
Those who count the votes, decide everything.

For those who've seen the propaganda this morning saying that no, really, the exit polls didn't differ that much from the final tally, note that the numbers they're referring to are the final results after weighting -- they take the final results from the interviews, and weight them according to the actual returns from the precincts. IOW, given that we can't verify the data that they're using to create the weighting scheme, the results before weighting, or weighted by the known demographics of the precincts being polled, are a lot more trustworthy. (The VoteMaster over at has got spreadsheets -- and he agrees with the pre-Republican-spin position that there was something wonky between the exit polls and the results.)
