|Subject:||Perils of the Information Age|
This morning I had an email from one of my favorite Slate editors, in reply to a correction I had submitted, which stated, in its entirety: "IIi". A little puzzled, I sent a note back asking if the message had gotten mangled. Then I got another email saying, "Rtjkjkujlookke".
OK, now I'm beginning to think that you have either a cat, or a child who has started walking, who is having some fun with the computer...
Final response in chain:
Latter. Kid got blackberry!
All together now: "Awwwwwwwwwwww..." I wonder whether "rtjkjkujlookke" is an accurate transcription of the noises said child was making, while playing with the blackberry? Also, I wonder whether he eventually figured out that even though it's called a blackberry, it's not the tasty kind... 2 comments | post a comment
